Spring 2020

 

New Student Scholarships

  • New Student Empowerment Scholarships: $2,500 (2 available)

Available to new NAU undergraduate students whose first term with NAU begins with the Spring 2020 term and who is enrolled at least half-time, among other criteria.   To review official criteria and apply online visit here. The criteria and application materials are also available in and PDF format. All application materials must be received by February 22, 2020. Late submissions will not be accepted. 

Students Approaching Graduation

  • Approaching Graduation Financial Need Scholarship: $2,500 (2 available)

Available to students who are enrolled for Spring 2020 and who are within 18 credits of completing his/her degree and who have exhausted or nearly exhausted their financial aid eligibility, among other criteria.   To review official criteria and apply online visit here. The criteria and application materials are also available in and PDF format. All application materials must be received by February 22, 2020. Late submissions will not be accepted. 

2020-2021 Academic Excellence Scholarship Awards

  • Academic Excellence Award Scholarships 2019-20: $1,200 (undergraduate), $1,500 (masters), and $1,800 (doctoral) (several available)

The annual Academic Excellence Award Scholarship recognizes and rewards academic achievement. To be eligible to apply, the student must have attended at least half-time at NAU for the fall and winter quarters of the last calendar year, among other criteria. The minimum cumulative GPA requirement for consideration is 3.66. Official criteria and applications will be available here in March 2020. 

 

SCHOLARSHIPS COMING UP

Fall 2020

  • Guy Tillett Maverick Pride Scholarship: $2,400 (1 available)

Available to students approaching graduation, among other criteria. Official criteria and application materials will be available here in early July 2020. 

Program Scholarships

  • The A&B Business Growth Scholarship: $1,000

Not presently being offered. If offered, the opportunity will be available to NAU students who live in South Dakota and are pursuing business degrees. 

 

Alumni Scholarships

  • Alumni Advancement Scholarships: $500 each

Not presently being offered. If offered, the opportunity will be available to NAU alumni who continue their education with NAU and pursue a second NAU degree of the same level or higher and who are/will be enrolled at least half-time. 

  • Alumni Legacy Scholarship: $500

Not presently being offered. If offered, the opportunity will be available to family members of NAU alumni who are enrolled at least half-time at NAU.

Re-entry Students

  • Back on Track Scholarships: $2,000 

Not presently being offered. If offered, the opportunity will be available to re-entry students who are within 18 credits of completing his/her degree and who has exhausted all financial aid and have not defaulted on student loans. 

Students Approaching Graduation

  • The Finish Line Scholarship: $250, $150, $100 (3 available)

 

Not presently being offered. If offered, the opportunity will be available to eligible long-time NAU students who, among other criteria, are approaching the finish line: graduation. 

Program Specific Scholarships

  • David Donnelly Memorial Criminal Justice Scholarship

Not presently being offered, If offered, the opportunity will be available to NAU criminal justice students who have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average, among other criteria.

National American University may have scholarship opportunities and resources to share. Please note that the NAU Foundation does not manage or in any other way control distribution of scholarships offered by the university or outside entities.
