Michael Buckingham, ’09 Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management: “Ticket To RIDE: Feature on Mike Buckingham, President, Real Estate, National American University,” The Leader: Corporate Real Estate & Workplace (September/October 2014)
I’m a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and have lived in Kansas City, Missouri since 1996. I received by Bachelor of Science in Intentional Business in 2009 and my Master’s in Human Resources Management and Services in 2011 from National American University, graduating with honors.
Since graduating, my education and my bi-cultural and bilingual background has led me to my current profession and a number of volunteer opportunities with the community, including Habitat for Humanity. I work at the Foreign Language Academy for the Kansas City Public Schools where I have the opportunity to work and meet wonderful people. I’m working to improve my knowledge day-by-day.
I love my big family and a lot of friends that I met along the way. I enjoy a good movie and the sound of a great musician playing. I also like to seek adventure in the outdoors.
It’s always been my personality to work hard and pursue my dreams. My NAU education has helped me achieve all that I have today and what I will reach for in the future.
